8-Week Learn to Ride Program

Children love the idea of learning all aspects of horse care and riding. This program enables them to learn at their own pace with our patient, kind horses and ponies. Each child will have their own horse for 2 hours. Each class is limited to 6 students.

Horsemanship and riding skills include:
• leading horse/pony
• horse anatomy and grooming
• how to put on a saddle/parts of the saddle
• how to put on a bridle/parts of the bridle
• Mounting
• steering, stopping, balance, centered riding
• bathing the horse/pony
• blanketing
• feeding

Our goal is for the children to become accomplished equestrians, riding involves having a connection and bonding with these incredible animals!

What you will need: Early registration suggested, space is limited. Paddock boots, comfortable pants or jeans, dress in layers, snack and water
