Summer Horsemanship Program 2008
Hidden Hollow enjoys offering riders of all ages and abilities a safe, friendly place to have a wonderful experience on our 18 acre family farm. We have quiet, gentle, safe ponies and horses for all comfort and experience levels. We are extremely safety conscious. All students will learn basic horsemanship and solid fundamental riding skills as they progress at their own rate.
Experienced riders can jump and learn dressage.
Horsemanship camp builds self-esteem, confidence, friendship and trust .
Daily Itinerary for Summer Program.....
8:30-9:45am Check-in, assignment of horse/pony. Safety rules. Grooming, anatomy, braiding, sparkles, hoof polishing, etc.
9:45-12:00pm Snack, "tack-up", Parts of the saddle, bridle, etc. Riding in the arena, trail ride, games on horseback
12:00-12:45 "untack", baths for horses, feeding of horses, farm work
12:45-1:45 Lunch, relax, Yoga
1:45-3:15 Afternoon ride, go over skills learned in the morning, games on horseback, etc.
3:15-4:30 "untack", games, crafts, snack, fun!
Each Camper Will Need to Bring:
Long pants, snack, drinks, lunch (if all day camp) and boots. We provide the safety helmets. We are fully licensed and insured!
